Ahh. It is ok. I was just wondering b/c i am one of those fans that became a permanent fan and started to follow archie comics a LOT more often after seeing shard the metal (or mecha) sonic. And as such I have been scourging for 3D models or try to make one of Shard in 3D but that has ended with no results or failure multiple times. After seeing your work on sally and mecha sally and iron rotor (big fan of your work btw ) I thought you might have concepts of shard that might help me out making a 3D model of him. In terms of concepts what I had hoped for was either drafts of his design, or more hopefully reference points of his character from the front, the back, either sides, the bottom, and the top. But this was too much to hope for.
Well anyway I appreciate for you to respond to my comment. Though it would be amazing if you could come up with sketches of shard .
*Lastly* on bumbleking a while back I tried to register (with username Yarcaz) but I can't find the e-mail for registration what can I do (if you know)
These designs are awesome! Too bad he doesn't need the suit anymore, now that he's awesome enough without it! ...Maybe he'll find a need where even his current awesomeness isn't enough for whatever reason, so he needs to add the awesomeness of the suit to the awesomeness he already has...?
(...Okay, exactly how many times did I just say "awesome"...? (Don't answer. Please, don't answer...))
I still love this design, the new style for Rotor of Iron Rotor may have been the best thing that has ever happen to the brilliant freedom fighter. But I dear hope he has kept this suit, cause it would be a waste and a shame to see this good suit go to waste.
Dude sorry but I have a question, for the actual Arc Archie has changed the Design of the Characters Big Time, especially Rotor, do you know if they will change them back to normal, the way they where when this alternate reality mess is over? I so love the Comics and the Characters but looking at them now is just ... it just feels so wrong.
I can't speak with real authority on the matter as I tend to be pretty removed from the inner workings of the comic, but I'm fairly certain that the redesigns and alterations to the comic are permanent.
Man why don't we ever get an entire section dedicated to your character designs/illustration processes? I would PAY for that stuff. In fact when I get hired to be production artist at their office one day I'm going to convince Paul to make it happen, promise. +:fav:
Amen to that! Heck, even whole books dedicated to Sonic comic conceptual/production art would be fantastic; just like you, I would pay good money to have such a book in my collection, even to use as a reference!
