Bygone Eon by BenBates Bygone Eon by BenBates
A couple months ago while sketching at the Portland Wizard Comic Convention I realized how repetitive all the Latios images I had ever seen were. Especially any of the pokemon card art.  I now consider it a fun little challenge to come up with different ways to act and present the design.

Man, there's a lot of amazing Pokemon card art though isn't there? I wish the images were collected into an art book. It's the variety of styles and the imagination that I admire so much about the series. As much as I love the technical skill sets of artists like Mitsuhiro Arita or Kouki Saitou, some of my favorite images are from Kenkichi Toyama and Tomokazu Komiya .

It's too bad Ken Sugimori's use so much filtered photo nonsense.

Cool! I've never been a fan of Latios or Latias' designs, but you made it work!

I still have a whole mess of Pokemon cards-- it didn't win me many games, but my deck was usually decided by which cards had the coolest art.

I was just thinking that I haven't paid any attention to the pokemon card game in a long, long time. Do they still make new cards?
